Laùstrah 2 is the embodiment of the art direction I believe in: pure, organic and transformative. Though the word is not rooted in a single language, its sound draws from ancient echoes: “Lau” recalls lumen (light) and lustro (to cleanse) in Latin, and lysis (liberation) in Greek—each echoing themes of clarity and evolution. The suffix “-stra,” inspired by stratos (stratosphere), speaks to expansion; the pursuit of broader creative fields.
This pursuit mirrors the way I approach my work—drawing from the many industries I have explored, the experiences I have lived, and the raw, imperfect beauty I seek in everything.
This quality is further echoed in the symbolism of honey—liquid gold—which in ancient times represented genuineness in immortality. Laùstrah 2 carries that same quality: honest and alive.
The number 2 shows an interplay between dualities—personal with the professional, where my past and present experiences, reflect onto my work. The snakeskin motif in the logo complements this vision. It speaks to the cyclical nature of life, embodying the ability to see beauty in dirt.
Laùstrah 2 is not just a name; it is the foundation of what I want myself and my work to head towards—it is a living evolution of personal and artistic direction.
